Advanced calculator

Calculate by customs value

Enter the phone's C&F/customs value, not only the local market price. For used phones, the official assessed value may still differ from what you paid.

Enter the phone value to estimate PTA tax. Use the customs/declared value where possible. Market price and assessed value can differ.

Estimate uses FBR fixed mobile duty slabs and applies 17% sales tax where the FBR slab lists sales tax. Exact payable tax can differ by IMEI/TAC, declared value, exchange rate and DIRBS/FBR assessment.

PTA tax FAQs

Important details buyers miss

Is this the exact payable PTA tax?

No. It is a planning estimate based on FBR slabs. The exact payable amount should be confirmed through the official DIRBS/FBR process using the device IMEI.

Should I use market price or customs value?

Use the customs/C&F or assessed value where possible. A local used-phone deal can be lower than the value official systems use for tax calculation.

Why is Passport usually lower than CNIC?

FBR tables list separate fixed rates for Passport and CNIC registration. Passport can be lower, but the buyer must be eligible under the official process.

Does dual SIM mean double tax?

Do not assume manually. Dual-SIM devices should be checked and registered through official DIRBS flow so all IMEIs belonging to the device are handled correctly.
